Co-edited Scholars House, a journal produced by the College Scholars juniors (Spring 2005). Sample essays include: A Night in Okefenokee, To Denmark and Back, Will Lecture for Food, Coming of Age: Wizard of Oz and Spirited Away, Liberia, Orchidaceae: The Most Adaptable of Plants, Café Ocelotl (original recipes), Music: The Storyboard of Life.

  • organizing a concert in University Circle for 3 inner-city marching bands
  • training as a doula/midwife assistant
  • research on child lead poisoning in the city of Cleveland
  • designing a teaching brochure on the Madagascar environment for the Cleveland Botanical Garden
  • a series of original short stories (science fiction)
  • preparation for volunteer work at a hospital in Tanzania
  • a research survey on college student use of pharmaceutical drugs to deal with depression

Arranged special visit to the Print Gallery of the Cleveland Museum of Art, in conjunction with a "Self-Portraits" unit. Close-up viewing of prints by Rembrandt, Berthe Morisot, Matisse, Kathe Kollwitz, Chagall, Diego Rivera, Picasso.
